Barnes and Noble April 3rd event.

On Saturday, April 3rd at Barnes & Noble in Orem, UT, approximately 500 people came out for another Worlds of the Crystal Moon book signing event. Fans and actors dressed in costume as their favorite characters filled Barnes & Noble, making the store look like a Renaissance Faire. Chunga, the radio personality, was on-site for a live remote. Face painters, giveaways, pictures with actors and more were included in the excitement of the day.

The next big event will be held on August 21st at the Salt Lake Public Library. This launch party to celebrate the 4th and final edition of book one will include bands who will perform Worlds of the Crystal Moon songs, an interpretative dance to the Grayham Overture, raffles, food, and even more fun. Be there on August 21st from 6-10pm at 210 East 400 South in downtown Salt Lake City. Check out www.worldsofthecrystalmoon.com, or www.facebook.com/worldsofthecrystalmoon for more information.

Barnes and Noble book signing April 3rd!

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT YOU ASK? Not only will you meet the author, but you will meet the actors who will be auditioning for key roles when the casting for the Worlds of the Crystal Moon feature films takes place. You will meet other key people involved in bringing the Worlds of… the Crystal Moon to life.

Read below for details…

- Meet the owners of Sandman Studios, involved in the creation of projects like, Pushing Daisies, Race to Witch Mountain, The Game Plan, and Trauma. Many of the lead artists within Sandman have worked on projects such as Armageddon, Ants, Shrek, and so much more.

- Meet the composer of the Worlds of the Crystal Moon theme music, Randin Graves, who will unveil the Worlds of the Crystal Moon theme song into the Orem area for the first time. He will also be unveiling the second theme song which has never been played for anyone before. Those in attendance will be the first to hear this incredible song.

- Every person who attends will receive a FREE poster signed by Phillip Jones, the actors and all artists involved in the series.

- Meet Tina Thorup of Tina Thorup Casting. She will be taking names for extras in the feature films. She will also be taking applications from professional actors who want to become involved.

- Meet Christopher Salisbury, the writer of the screenplay for book one. This is the man who is working directly with the author and the Crystal Moon Fans to transform the books and get them ready for the Big Screen.

- Meet Tim Salisbury and Rick Williamson and other artists from Sandman Studios who will be creating the storyboard trailer and adding animation.

- Meet Kathleen Stone, Angela Woods, and Cindy Fletcher, the artists whose work is featured heavily throughout the first two books of the Worlds of the Crystal Moon series. Their illustrative talent is simply amazing.

- BIG FUN … YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE PICTURES WITH THE ACTORS WHO SHOW UP DRESSED AS THE PART THEY ARE AUDITIONING FOR. THIS WILL BE A HUGE EVENT! WE WILL HAVE A GREEN SCREEN ( Dark Sun Studios is responsible for this fun). You and your family will be put directly into the Worlds of the Crystal Moon as you pose with Elves, Centaurs, and other characters from the book. FUN FOR THE KIDS… Some of Utah’s best makeup artists will be attending the event. Your children can have their faces done for their pictures with the actors.

The last time we did this kind of event over 450 people came. We look forward to seeing you there. Come early.

I am sure Big Dog would say this is not his accomplishment. This is because the FANS are so loyal to the series is why the WCM has been invited to do something so great.

Worlds of the Crystal Moon

It takes many people to make this happen. Praise the people who work hard to create something for the people of Utah. Big Dog wants everyone to be lifted up, not himself. Lets all enjoy the success that we, the fans, have brought to the Worlds of the Crystal Moon.

Barnes and Noble Crystal Moon book signing

It was such a beautiful day on February 6th, to have a book signing. Phillip arrived at 11:55 am in a train of Chevy Avalanches provided by the Utah Chevy Avalanche club. (If you didn’t know, that is what Phillip drives.) He came in only after a massive train horn that one of the drivers had added to their Avalanche, blasted the crowd. It was fun to see the response of the people. The energized cheers from the most amazing crowd filled with Worlds of the Crystal Moon fans was awesome.

When all was said and done, the manager of Barnes and Noble said that over 400 fans came out in support of the series and all involved in the project to bring the Worlds of the Crystal Moon to the big screen. Phillip spoke of how the fans are the driving force and their desire to see the Worlds of the Crystal Moon series to appear on the big screen would eventually be realized. Phil explained that Chris Salisbury is writing the screenplays for the first two books. And along with this, Tim Salisbury and Rick Williamson are working to create the picture-storyboard for an initial trailer to assist in getting funding for the World of Grayham. The unveiling of the theme song for Worlds of the Crystal Moon by the creator/composer, Randin Graves, was phenomenal. The reaction of the fans was exactly what I imagined it would be.

Phillip has selflessly committed every penny from all sales of Crystal Moon t-shirts, hoodies, hats, posters, and even the theme song, will go toward the funding of the feature films. It is the desire of the team which Phillip has surrounded himself with to create jobs within this tough economy. Let’s all support this cause. Phillip says that it only takes 25,000 people to buy 2 items (only two items) from the Worlds of the Crystal Moon website. This would create the initial capital necessary to act as first money-in and jobs would be created. So let’s get behind this, and let’s make something special happen. Here is the link to buy your two items. http://secure.worldsofthecrystalmoon.com/

Please share this with all of your family and friends. Support a good cause and get something for doing it. You can also be a bigger driving force like one fan already was at the book signing. Lauree Lopez (from Colorado) wrote out a check for $2,000 dollars before she went back home. She made the trip specifically for the signing and donated her hard earned cash for the cause of helping Phillip’s team create jobs. To donate funds for this cause, you can call Phillip directly at (801) 503-5083 or, there will be a spot added to the Worlds of the Crystal Moon web-store for you to securely use a debit or credit card. Remember… 100% of the proceeds from the purchases of the items listed above and all donated funds will be used strictly for the purpose of funding the feature films. The Worlds of the Crystal Moon is not a non-profit organization, but it is an unselfish one. Let’s help them make jobs and a series of feature films.

Here are some of the photos taken during the book signing for Worlds of  the Crystal Moon.

Colorado Country Life Book Review

Check out this book review! This review is from Colorado Country Life. This review was done during the beginning of the editing process of book one in the Worlds of the Crystal Moon series, Crystal Moon, World of Grayham, and I think it gives a really good perspective of the journey this book has taken.
